2024年10月29-30日，BHS Stage 1考试在威廉马术圆满结束，正如采访时，BHS 院士级教官Jeremy Michaels所讲：“这是我们第一次在BHS国际认证骑乘中心举行考试，这对BHS和国内的马术俱乐部来说都是一个历史性的时刻，我们很高兴这发生在威廉”。作为国内首家承办Stage 1考试的BHS认证骑乘中心，对于威廉来说，是极具历史意义的时刻，有着重要影响。

威廉马术作为国内首家承办Stage 1考试的BHS认证骑乘中心，迎来了首批参加 Stage 1 考试的威廉学员。BHS主考官祁海涛在考试前详细介绍了考试日程，让学员们提前了解每个环节的时间安排和要求。

Q1:It is the first time that BHS has conducted exams in BHS Approved Riding club in China. What is your feeling about the process of this BHS exam?
BHS 首次在国内的BHS国际认证骑乘中心举行考试，针对这次 BHS 考试的过程，您最大的感受是什么？
A1. Exams have been held at Equuleus in Beijing for a number of years now, from Stage 1 to Stage 4 level, which is a high level of exam. The British Horse Society agreed that we can run BHS stage one exams at approved riding clubs in China, at any approved riding club in China that wants to run the exam, and we assessors feel that they have suitable horses and equipment and facilities then we can run the exams there, so as I say we've been running them at Equuleus for a number of years but this exam here, held at William is the first time that we have held an exam outside of Equuleus so this is an historic moment for China and for the BHS and for clubs in China generally, and we're very pleased that it happened here at William.
多年来，我们一直在北京天星调良马术举办BHS考试，从Stage 1到Stage 4的高级别考试。经英国马会BHS批准，如果BHS认证的骑乘中心有意向申请承办Stage 1考试，且经BHS考官评估，俱乐部达到了申请条件和要求，比如有适合的考试用马、装备和设施，BHS认证骑乘中心即可申请承办。正如我前面所说，这是我们第一次在BHS国际认证骑乘中心举行考试，所以这对BHS和国内的马术俱乐部来说都是一个历史性的时刻，我们很高兴这发生在威廉。
Q2. As an examiner, what do you think are the differences between this exam and the one held in the UK?
作为考官，您觉得此次考试与在英国本土进行的考试有哪些不同之处？
A2.I am a British Horse Society lead examiner and assessor and compared to the UK, the exams in China are different in some ways to the ones we run in the UK partly because of the way horses are cared for in China and the UK and also because the UK has a lot of history with British Horse Society whereas, of course, China is still in its infancy regarding BHS exams and China is still getting used to running the exams. It will take a few more years until they are as practiced as we are in the UK. One aspect I like as an examiner in China is the enthusiasm of the students and the enthusiasm for wanting to learn.
我是英国马会的主考官，在我看来，在中国开展的BHS考试和在英国的考试在某些地方有所不同，区别体现在两国的从业人员不同的马匹护理方式上。另外，BHS考试在英国的考试历史比较悠久，而在中国的考试还处于起步和发展阶段，还需要时间逐步走向和英国一样的成熟。作为考官，我喜欢中国考生的热情和不断学习的精神。
Q3.What specific preparation suggestions do you have for candidates who want to take the BHS exams in the future?
对于未来想报名参加 BHS 考试的学员，您有哪些具体的准备建议？
A3.British Horse Society exam students need; well, it's important before they take any exam that they think about WHY they want to do it. The British Horse Society exams are professional exams. The Stage One is just the foundation level but with this as a foundation, you could go on to be a coach,a professional rider,a groom and could go to the top in the equine industry. The next thing you want to do of course is get a syllabus and these syllabi can be acquired from the British Horse Society website or you could contact Equuleus in Beijing who will send you the syllabus both in Chinese and English.
You also need training and educating in horse and riding skills to prepare you for these qualifications; this is absolutely critical because if you don't get the training at the right level and you don't get trained in exactly what is going to happen in the exam, then it will be a surprise and you won't be sufficiently prepared for that level of exam. So I would strongly suggest that you go to a coach who has taken these exams or is assessing this level, and they will be able to help you a lot. You will improve more much more by working with a coach who has actually taken the exams as they will be able to tell you much more about what's involved in the assessments.
在参加任何考试之前，考生们都有必要首先考虑清楚参加考试的目的。BHS作为专业的马业从业人员国际资格认证体系，Stage 1 是基础级别，帮助考生打好扎实的基础。考生可以成为马房助理、职业骑手、马术教练，并助力其在马术行业的职业晋升之路。准备考试前，考生需要拿到考试大纲，可以从英国马会BHS官方网站下载，或者联系天星调良马术来获取中英文版本。
当然，考生还需要参加培训，培训是至关重要的，如果你没有得到正确规范的系统培训, 不了解考试要求，就不会为相应级别的考试做好准备，那么在考试中你将获得‘开盲盒’一般的惊喜。所以我强烈建议，想要报名参加BHS考试的学员，去找那些参加过考试或者已经成为BHS考官的人员寻求帮助。考过BHS的人将能够告诉你更多关于考试的相关内容。
Q4. What aspects of the assessment at the William Equestrian Club left a deep impression on you?
在威廉马术俱乐部进行考核，哪些方面给您留下了深刻印象？
A4.I think the facilities here are very good and the horses are very suitable for the Stage One level. The staff have been very helpful and enthusiastic. Hospitality has always been good hereand the welcome has always been very good at William, plus theenthusiasm from students and staff, to learn and want to do more and improve, has left a deep impression on me.

Q5. What is your opinion on the William Equestrian Club’s organization of this assessment?

A5.The organization has been very good here at William. I must congratulate William in the way they managed - they did incredibly well.

Q6. What other specific suggestions do you think the William Equestrian Club could promote the BHS exam?
您觉得威廉马术俱乐部在推广 BHS 考试方面，还有哪些具体的建议？
A6.I know William runs BHS Junior Progressive Riding tests here，which are primarily designed for young people, like younger children; from these more junior tests riders can progress to take BHS exams like the Stage One. From the age of 13 years students can take the Stage One. Clients who ride regularly at William should be encouraged to investigate and train for the BHS exams. We need to spread the word and explain that today’s exam was an historic moment at William and to encourage clients to become interested and enthusiastic about taking these qualifications. Why take these qualifications?
Education is the only way to improve - it doesn’t matter whether you're a rider, a coach, an owner or somebody who just loves horses, the way to gain more knowledge is by training and education. As you learn more, you can test your level of understanding by taking BHS exams. We need to promote these exams to young and adult clients alike.
威廉马术在定期开展国际青少年马术水平进阶考试（Junior Progressive Riding Test，简称JPRT），孩子们通过JPRT考试的同时，也在为考Stage 1做准备。孩子达到13周岁就能报名Stage 1的考试，威廉马术可以向客户介绍举办BHS考试这一历史性时刻，向大家推广BHS体系，鼓励学员参与培训，激发他们对学习BHS体系和报名考试的热情，以及学员介绍为什么要获得BHS认证。
教育是唯一能让你变得更好的方法。无论你是骑手、教练、马主，还是单纯爱马的人，想要变得更好，唯一方法就是教育和训练。你可以通过参加BHS考试来测试自己，看看你处于什么水平。所以我们需要向青少年和成年客户推广BHS体系。

BHS SATGE 1 考级是马术从业人员非常重要的一个考级认证，既考验骑手技能、又考验马匹训练水平的过程。
这次考级让我意识到一定要充分准备，定期参加训练，提高自己的骑术、理论知识和实践技能。马术是一项需要时间和耐心的运动，与马建立信任和默契需要时间，不要期望一蹴而就。另外这次的考级也非常感谢考官和其他同事的协助，考级不仅仅是考核骑手的技术，人与马的协作，同时也是人与人的协作。
当然最重要的是安全第一：BHS的考级对人马的安全都非常重视。所以在考核前都会进行检查，确保马匹健康和福利，骑手穿戴适当的安全装备，如头盔、护甲等。
在这次的考级中我也在观察其他骑手的表现，从他们的经验中学习，这让我有更多的收获，能及时反思和总结自己的问题，从而快速成长，通过这次考级不仅能提高骑术，还能增进我与马匹的关系，明白未来学习的方向!

我是一名马术教练， 感谢威廉提供的机会让我在主场地就能参加BHS Stage1培训与考试，考官很有耐心的提问，让我在这次考试当中很放松。通过这次考试让我对马房管理有了更清晰的认知，也让自己在平时的工作当中的操作有更清晰的流程，同时也对教学有了更好的思路。

经过这次BHS考试，让我深刻意识到平时一些不起眼的小细节就有可能导致马匹和人受到伤害，尤其是马房的安全和牵马时、放牧时的安全问题，深刻让我感知之前自己一些错误的做法存在很大的安全隐患，也刷新了我对马术的认知，包括骑乘和马房、饲喂、日常护理等。马术不是单一的光知道骑乘，还要学会去观察一匹马的精神状态、健康状态等等一系列的细节。
